In the current version of the game, a single world map can host up to 45 thousand players and record-breaking 850 active clans. To get clans that big, players need to organize and work together on building truly large cities that can support their armies and economic needs. In the updates added after the release of the base game, players could even try to conquer all the clans on the map, thus becoming the kings of the entire land.Ī single clan in this Viking online game can grow to the size of 100-125 persons. And those resources are the heart of the game because without them the cities cannot grow, and armies cannot be trained.
Since many clans will fight to gain control of that location, players are encouraged to elevate their economic output by building larger and more sophisticated cities and train armies that could not only secure that place of power but also raid neighboring kingdoms for valuable resources. The goal of the game is for one of the clans to capture a place of power, a unique location that is found at the center of the map of each kingdom.
Within each clan, players can raise their rank through a complex hierarchy of positions, all the way up to the clan’s chieftain.
